Havana Jose Marti International Airport in Cuba
Havana Jose Marti International Airport is the main gateway of Cuba. The airport is named after a famous revolution personality and philosohper Jose Marti, who organized the Cuban revolutionary party. The former name of the airport is Rancho-Boyeros.
HAV Airport is the largest and busiest in the country. It serves over 4 million people annually and handles about 60-70 flights per day, both domestic and international.
The airport is located 15 km (9 miles) southwest of Havana in the town of Boyeros. It is connected with the capital of Cuba by public buses, taxi and car rental services. As it has 5 terminals there is a bus connection between them. Terminal 3 is the main international gate. Terminals 1 and 5 are for domestic flights. Terminal 2 is for special authority charters. And Aerovaradero Freight Terminal handles cargo flights.
